Day trips and maintenance

Today we sailed from Hellevoetsluis the first of two day trips with all kinds of guests: former trainees, some brought family and friends and also new guests who are considering joining the `Oosterschelde’ for a longer trip.

It was a beautiful day, the sun was out and a calm easterly breeze and we sailed practically all day on the Haringvliet.

Tomorrow we will have the second day trip and then we will go to Stellendam to wharf Padmos to get into the dry dock on Monday for maintenance to prepare for the coming trips. First 3 months to Cape Verde, then to the Caribbean, United States and then on to Bermuda to race in the Rendez-vous Tall Ships Regatta to Boston, Quebec, Halifax and back to Europe. In September 2017 the ship will be back.
