We used the morning to prepare the vessel for sea and to arrange the unavoidable port-paperwork.
The lines were let go at 1100 hrs local time and even before we reached the end of the breakwater a jib, staysail, topsail and the schooner were set. With a long blast of the horn for the people of Horta and a few off-signers waving us goodbye, a course of 040′ true was set, west of São Jorge.
We expect some southerly soft breeze the next 36 hours and later on some southeasterlies.
