Barbecue on the beach

A last report by Eva:
“The barbecue on the beach was really great. We wondered how the crew managed to bring almost the whole galley to the old fortress. Meat, bread, wine, firewood, music, everything you can think of was there. So we had a big party and were dancing around the campfire almost until midnight.
The next day we started motor sailing to Santa Maria (Sal). The foresail and the mizzen were hoisted to get the ship more stable and after a sunny trip of eight hours we dropped anchor in the bay of Santa Maria. Just in time to prepare the last dinner, barbecue of fresh tuna on deck.
Now it is the last morning, breakfast time is over and unfortunately we have to say goodbye. It was really a beautiful trip, although the weather and the wind were not as expected. We had the chance to sail on a fabulous ship with a very good crew and the best cook and I am very sure some of us will return.”
